Sandblaster Job Summary
Our company is looking for an experienced Sandblaster or Blasting Operator to join our work team. While you do not need to be a journeyman painter/sandblaster to apply, we do expect applicants to have some training with the heavy equipment, and power tools that you use during this process. In addition to operating the blast machine and loading sand, you may also be asked to help with painting or coating tasks after you have successfully removed the unwanted substances from the surface.
Sandblaster Duties and Responsibilities
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
- Set up and operate a blast machine or similar equipment
- Load and unload the blast machine
- Assist with painting or coating as needed
- Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed
Sandblaster Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Previous sandblasting experience or training
- Experience working with and handling heavy metals a plus
- Physical stamina
- Flexible schedule
- Familiarity with power tools

- Work is performed outdoor, in all weather conditions
- Meet the below physical standards without restrictions
- Standing over 2/3 time
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 time
- Reach with hands and arms over 2/3 time
- Climb or balance under 1/3 time
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl under 1/3 time
- Sight over 2/3 time
- Talk or hear over 2/3 time
- Lift up to 25 ponds 1/3 to 2/3 time
- Lift Up to 50 pounds, under 1/3 time

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
