We are seeking a responsible, friendly and organized Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling any problems with the building's infrastructure and equipment and will also need to respond to requests from the property management team in a timely manner. We need an individual who is diligent, a good communicator and possesses a willingness to fulfill any maintenance needs in the building.
This position will report to Maintenance Manager. This position will work with Maintenance as the primary role and will work on the production line as needed.
Responsibilities may include:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and repair.
- Assist with scheduled repairs.
- Assist with modifications and installation of equipment as needed.
- Work on the production line in the plant as needed.
- Communicate with departmental supervisor and management regarding equipment problems, needed repairs, and scheduling of repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards as per OSHA guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols at all times.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist peers to achieve work goals
- Ensure all maintenance activities operate consistent with the company objectives and budget.
- Assist all department supervisors in machine operations/functions, with proper use.
- Must successfully pass all Company and customer safety test requirements, if applicable
- Must complete tasks in a timely manner
- Wear proper PPE at all times.
- Projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of two (1-2) years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or military environment preferred.
- Shot peener experience preferred.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to use small hand tools.
- Excellent communication skills and interact effectively across functional teams.
- Detail and safety oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including being on call for weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Work outdoors including heat, cold and wet weather conditions.
- Requires activities including walking, bending, climbing and being able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
